Rules

Welcome to CBHS SMP! These rules keep the server fun and fair for everyone. Playing here means you agree to them. When in doubt, ask staff.

Be a good neighbour

1. Respect everyone. No harassment, bullying, hate speech, or slurs — in chat, voice chat, signs, books, or builds. Trash talk during a fight is fine; targeting someone personally is not.
2. Keep it school-appropriate. No explicit, graphic, or offensive content anywhere on the server.
3. No spam. Don't flood chat, advertise other servers, or mass-ping people.
4. Keep real life private. Never share anyone's personal information (address, photos, accounts) without permission.

The safe zone

5. Spawn is protected. The area within 250 blocks of spawn (a 500×500 square) is the safe zone: no PvP, no traps, no griefing, no stealing.
6. Don't abuse the safe zone. No luring players toward the border to kill them, and no blocking the way in or out.

Outside the safe zone — anything goes

7. Everything is fair game. PvP is always on, and traps, raiding, stealing, and griefing are all allowed.
8. Protect what you care about. Land claims are your defence — claim your base, and keep valuables somewhere safe.
9. Losses are final. Nothing lost outside the safe zone — items, builds, or loot — will be restored.

Play fair

10. No PvP-advantage mods. Hacked clients, kill aura, reach, auto-clickers, aim assist, and anything similar are banned. Other mods (minimaps, shaders, performance mods, etc.) are fine. Unsure? Ask staff first.
11. No x-ray. X-ray mods and resource packs are banned (and blocked by the server anyway).
12. No exploits. Don't use duplication glitches, lag machines, or bugs for an advantage — report them to staff instead.
13. No seed cracking. Don't try to find the world seed.
14. One account per person. Don't use alts to get around punishments or limits.

Server health

15. No lag machines. Keep farms and redstone reasonable. Staff may limit or remove builds that hurt server performance.

Teams

16. One team per player. Team leaders are responsible for keeping their members in line.

Staff

17. Staff decisions are final in the moment. If you disagree, raise it privately and calmly — never argue in public chat.
18. Report problems, don't retaliate inside the safe zone. If someone breaks a rule, tell staff with screenshots or coordinates.

Punishments

Depending on how serious it is: a warning → a temporary mute or ban → a permanent ban. Serious cases (cheating, harassment, sharing personal info, safe zone griefing) can skip straight to a ban.

Rules may be updated — check back here occasionally.
